Our Mission

cattreats.com was founded to give cat owners clear, honest, and thoroughly researched information about cat treats. With hundreds of products on the market, many making questionable health claims, we wanted to cut through the marketing noise and tell you what's actually in the bag, whether it's good for your cat, and whether it's worth your money.

Our Review Process

Every product we review goes through a structured evaluation covering:

  • Ingredient analysis: we read the full ingredient list, not just the marketing highlights, and flag anything concerning.
  • Nutritional profile: we check protein, fat, and calorie content against veterinary guidelines.
  • Manufacturing transparency: where the product is made, whether the brand discloses sourcing, and any recall history.
  • Value for money: price per treat, bag size, and whether the quality justifies the cost.
  • Aggregated buyer feedback: palatability reports, treat size, and suitability for different life stages, based on verified buyer reviews.

We research every product (ingredient analysis, nutrition, recall history, and aggregated verified buyer reviews), and we are building a hands-on testing program on top of that research. Testing is in progress: results are published one product at a time, as completed. Until a product has a real, dated result, its review is research-only.
